Factors affecting the health promoting behaviors of office male workers during the COVID-19 pandemic: Using Pender’s health promotion model

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors influencing health promoting behavior(s) office worker males in COVID-19 pandemic by applying Pender’s promotion model.Methods: participants were 149 male workers at companies located S, G and S cities. collected data analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient a stepwise multiple regression SPSS Window 25.0 program.Results: subject’s behaviors prior related (r=.58, p<.001), perceived benefits action (r=.41, self-efficacy (r=.53, social support (r=.39, self-esteem (r=.47, p<.001) commitment plan (r=.67, showed high positive correlation. factpors affecting subjects’ (β=.35, (β=.27, p=.005), behavior (β=.26, status (good) (β=.20, p=.001) (β=.14, p=.047). These variables explained 63.0% behaviors.Conclusion: During pandemic, subjects are more likely be exposed disease due reduced outdoor activity time irregular eating habits strengthening distancing. Health an important concept that can maintain prevent diseases. To improve men engaged work, it is necessary develop operate program considering those variables.
